After smashing all first day Bollywood records, Thugs of Hindostan gets leaked online.
With good news comes the bad news. Thugs of Hindostan, which was released on Diwali, became the highest Bollywood opener in history earning over 50 crores net as reported by Box Office India. But a bad news also came with that. Thugs of Hindostan reportedly got leaked online on piracy website called Tamil rockers as reported by Timesnow.com.
Tamilrockers (which needs no introduction) leaked Thugs of Hindostan movie in all three languages. After the leak, concerned people wrote to the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) seeking legal action against the website for the leak. It is the same website that leaked Sarkar starring Vijay.
Although the film managed to earn that much money in one day, Thugs of Hindostan mostly got negative reviews from critics as well as fans despite having an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Taran Adarsh gave the movie 2 stars saying “All that glitters is NOT gold… Holds true for #TOH… Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that’s about it… Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits…it 2 stars saying: ”

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee, in his interview for NDTV, gave Thugs Of Hindostan 2.5 stars out of 5. “Big, bloated, bombastic, Thugs Of Hindostan is a period saga that banks solely upon action and spectacle for impact. It might entertain large swathes of the audience, but it is ultimately too tacky and unconvincing to lay legitimate claims to being India’s answer to Pirates of the Caribbean. It isn’t even a poor copy,” he wrote.
If you were planning to watch this movie, you might want to change your mind now. Atleast I have.
