Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 arrives December 18 for iOS and Android

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords will be available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices from December 18. It is a revamped version of the december 2004 game of the same name, which was released first for Xbox and later for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Aspyr Media has this new version for iOS and Android developed. According to the company the game has been optimized to play on mobile devices, by adding touchscreen controls. It is not clear whether any other things have been improved or renewed. It is also unknown whether the efforts of modmakers, who in 2012 added unreleased parts of the game al, are present in the new release mobile. That doesn’t seem very likely

The storyline hasn’t changed anything else. As in the 2004 game, which is the sequel to the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from 2003, it’s about the five-year period after the first game’s events. Players take on the role of an exiled Jedi knight and must work with others to stop the Sith, who are trying to destroy the Jedi entirely. It is up to the player whether this is achieved through the light or dark side of the Force.

The original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was developed by BioWare and is considered one of the best Star Wars games ever. The December 2004 sequel, created by Obsidian Entertainment, was also well received, with the story among others praised. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords for Android and iOS will be released on December 18 and will cost $15.
