Google currently has two popular OSes on the market, Android and Chrome OS but Google is not stopping there and testing the third OS dubbed Fuchsia OS.
If you aren’t familiar with the new OS, Fuchsia is a capability-based, real-time operating system based on a new microkernel called “Zircon”. The OS first appeared on Google’s GitHub repository in 2016 but slowly started progressing as new features were added.
Ars Technica has recently posted a video showing Fuchsia OS running on the Pixelbook.
There is no date on when Fuchsia OS will publicly see the light of the day but it’s not happening anytime soon as this OS has a long way to go.
